What Makes An Idea Viral?

Seth's Blog: What makes an idea viral?

Seth Godin's post gets it just right:
"Notice too that a key dynamic in the spread of the idea is the capsule that contains it. If it's easy to swallow, tempting and complete, it's a lot more likely to get a good start."

New Persuasion: The Marketing Plan is to Blog

Hugh Macleod of gapingvoid linked to this great post from Nellie Lide -- "So there you have it - two different products, two different fields, and the same marketing plan. Let's talk - that's how we'll succeed. Fun, contagious, low-cost, authentic and passionate - I'm sold."

TLCmagic Policy -- Backup and Sync Strategy

So that we can work from home or the office with the latest version, and always have an offsite backup. Updated 9/21/05

1. Ghost Hard Drive Images will be made manually the first of every month to the external hard drive, of both Bill and Misty’s entire computers. The Images will be stored in folders called “Bill” and “Misty” under the Images folder on the external hard drive.

2. NTI Backup Now backup ran on the 1st of every month as a full backup from home, and each following workday as a differential backup will be done from home to the xdrive. The folder on the xdrive that will contain these backups is under Backups and either daily or monthly. Items backed up:

a. Bill Home Computer: My Documents, Outlook, and QuickBooks

b. Misty Laptop: My Documents and Outlook

3. A backup of QuickBooks will be made from Bill’s computer to Misty’s under his “My Documents\QuickBooks Backup” folder every night at 8pm.

4. Synchronization will be done from Bill’s home and office computers to the Xdrive. When Bill arrives and leaves home and the office he will start the syncs. The synchronization files are contained in the Bill Sync Items folder on the xdrive with the SyncBack program. Items Sync’d are:

a. Bill My Document folders: Our Business, My software, my pictures, and my music

b. Bill QuickBooks company file

c. Bill Outlook File

5. Synchronization will be done between Misty’s home computer and laptop. When Misty arrives to the office Misty will synch My Documents between Desktop and Laptop computer. Outlook will be sync’d using SyncPst and done manually each morning.
