Geek Dinner Venues Revisited

Yesterday, as we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, and drank Peter Vella Burgundy down by Lake Norfork, we wondered if this might not be the perfect place to have the Geek Dinner on May 20, 2006. They also have covered picnic areas, in case it rains. We have to check out the Army Corps of Engineers' policy on alcoholic beverages. What do you think, should this event be inside or outside?

The Purple Beach Ball Tree

This past week the whole family has been working through the flu, and this past weekend we had our second snowfall, about 6 inches. Now it is all melting away, and thoughts return to Global MicroBranding and 100 Dinners. Who wants to play?

Geek Dinner Venues

Mary Carlson Piper makes great suggestions:
There are lots of Places that I can think of to have this. Our swimming pool. On top of Matney Knob. The Fish Hatchery. That's it! The fish hatchery.
Any other suggestions?

Where the Show Me State Meets the Natural State

We live in Mountain Home, AR, just south of where the Natural State of Arkansas meets the Show Me State of Missouri, so we figure geek bloggers south of St. Louis and north of Little Rock, west of Memphis and east of Tulsa should come to the Geek Dinner we are having. But if you are outside this area, you are still welcome, especially if you are a supermodel, rock star or pro athlete. Let us know if you are interested in attending, and please let us know any ideas you might have about contacting geek bloggers about the event.

Blogging in the Natural State!

OK, so we have signed up for the Geek Dinner and have set a tentative date for May 20, 2006. The title is "Marketing Disruption: Wine Today, Tomorrow the World" and the blurb is "Blogging in the Natural State!" This is going to be fun.

100 Dinners

Hugh MacLeod has come up with another marvelous idea :

100 Dinners: 1 May until 9 August 2006

When we launched Stormhoek in the blogosphere last year, we sent out about 100 bottles to bloggers in the UK, Ireland, and France.

Now that we're launching Stormhoek in the USA in the next month or two, we decided to up the ante.

We like sponsoring geek dinners. We want to do more. Lots more.

Ergo: 100 Geek Dinners in 100 days. Starting in May.

We love the idea, we are going to play!
